MACE

Dried spices and herbs on a dark background

Overview

Naturally striking colour with a strong, distinctive aroma.

Mace is the red aril surrounding the nutmeg seed. It carries a finer yet more complex aroma than the nutmeg seed itself.

It is dried slowly so the fibre flexibility and bright red colour are retained without reducing its essential-oil content.
